- Initial Setup
-
- (Hint: Run WorldClock Lite and refer to the screen while reading this documentation page
- from a printout.)
- __________________________________________________________________________
-
-
- Open WorldClock Lite either by double-clicking on its icon or selecting it from the
- ∩ú┐ menu, if you installed it there. Unless you happen to live in Los Angeles, CA,
- you will probably wish to change the WorldClock Settings to your location or to a
- location near you. The setup will involve selecting a database location near to you,
- in your same time zone, and possibly resetting your system clock.
-
- Select Change Settings from the WorldClock Lite menu in the menu bar
- at the top of your screen.
-
- The features of the Change Settings screen most likely to be used by World-
- Clock Lite users are the Select Location button and the time-setting facilities
- in the lower left of the screen. Click on the Select Location button to bring up a
- scrolling list of 190 locations. Scroll through the list and find one close to you, in
- your time zone. Click on the desired location and then click
-   the Select button, or just double-click on the location.
- The display should adjust itself, indicating the new location
- in the title bar at the top of the WorldClock Lite window.
-
- If the location you selected is in a different time zone than Los Angeles, WorldClock
- will have adjusted the hours automatically for the difference in time zones.
-
-   After setting the location, check the time in the digital clock
- readout at the lower left of the display. If you need to adjust
- the hour, click on the hour in the lower left hand corner of the
- screen. The hour will be highlighted and an up-down arrow
- will appear. Click on the up arrow to adjust the hours ahead
- and on the down arrow to adjust the hours back. When the
- hour is correct, click on the blank area of the window to the
- left of the hour. Similarly, you can adjust the minutes, sec-
- onds, or AM/PM settings.
-
- Other settings that can be adjusted in the same way are the
- day, month, and year.
-
- Since WorldClock Lite does not permit additions to the
- database, the latitude, longitude, and time zone readouts are
- informational only, and cannot be adjusted.
-
- If you have made any changes to any of WorldClock Lite's settings, including time,
- date, or location, or reset the location of any of the clocks, WorldClock Lite will ask
- you if you wish to save the changes when you quit. If you click the Save button, the
- changes will be saved for your next sesson. The system clock will also be set to the
- current time displayed by WorldClock Lite. If you have just been experimenting, and
- don't want the changes saved, or don't want your system clock to be reset, click the No
- button.
